About
This is Mac’s first year coaching for Viper. He started setting the volleyball when he was 9 years old and could not stop playing since. Mac played for Father Duenas Memorial High School and made the All-Island Team in 2000. Born and raised in the island of Guam, Mac moved to California, graduated from Northview High School, received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly Pomona and Master’s degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. His passion for recreation and sports has led him to coach at Viper. He currently works as a Recreation Specialist at the Hope and Care Center for the Wounded Warrior Battalion-West, Camp Pendleton. He assists the wounded, ill and/or injured Marines with their recovery through sports such as sit-down volleyball, wheelchair basketball, golf, archery, shooting and various types of water sports. Mac’s universal coaching philosophy includes ENTHUSIASM. “Your energy, enjoyment, drive and dedication will stimulate and greatly inspire others.”
