2012 has been a busy recruiting season at Viper. Many of our top players have recently commited to play in college and we would like to share their success with you. All of these girls are terrific role models for our young players who also dream of playing in college some day. Congratulations to all of these girls for achieving their dream. 15-Mark has won 4 tournaments (3 Mandatories) overall and are currently ranked 41st in SCVA! This is the best 15-2 Elite team Viper has ever had. Great job girls and keep bringing the HEAT!
16-Costa won their second tournament of the year in Mandatory #5! They tied for first with the 1 seeded team but through game percentage and points they won the pool! This team has battled throughout the year having gone as high as Division 2. Great job girls!
Congratulations to the girls on a tremendous effort, resulting in their winning the Mandatory #5 Tournament on May 5, 2012! The girls fought tough and came from behind several times, won all three matches, and were victorious in 6 out of 8 games. Way to Go Viper!
Update from May 5th... 14-Alli does it again - two weekends in a row! This time they were without two of their primary players and still won and played hard as a team. It's so awesome when teams rise to a challenge and work together to find a way to win. Congratulations to the players and coaches Alli and Allysa.
From April 28th... 14-Alli is made up of mostly 13 year olds and they won a close mandatory pool this past weekend. This is their first tournament WIN of the season and it shows terrific growth for a team with a lot of newer athletic players who are just getting started in their volleyball career. They won the pool, a 3 way tie, by beating So Cal Volleyball Club, Saddleback Volleyball Club and losing a close one to Showcase VC in three: 20-25, 25-16, 12-15. Due to their point percentages and close loss, they finished first in thier pool and will move up a division! Congrats!
At the last mandatory on May 5th 14-Aaron finally achieved their goal of winning a tournament. They had been very close to winning other mandatories and with their continued improvement and perseverence they have done it! Congratulations to this young team with lots of up and coming talent!
Our 12-Erin team won their first tournament at Mandatory #4 by going undefeated in pool play!!! They beat Oaks VC, Wave and Starlings. This team has improved so much and they are getting 3 contacts, including some great hits, on a regular basis! They are also all serving from the endline! Congratulations girls!
14-Lew won their pool this past weekend at Mandatory #4 and then won their first cross over match to move up to Division two! This team is on a roll right now and really gaining momentum going into the end of the season. Just last weekend they traveled to Reno for a Junior National Qualifier and played their best volleyball of the year. With a lot of young talent on this team, it's exciting to see them improving and coming together! Keep it up girls and good luck in Mandatory #5!
14-Steve had been close to winning the first three mandatories but came up short. This past weekend at Mandtory #4 , things finally came together and they went UNDEFEATED and won their pool to move up to Division 6! For many of the girls on this team this is their first organized year of "team" volleyball and we couldn't be more proud of their improvement. Keep it up girls!
Summer is fast approaching and so are our end of the year tournaments! Most parents are starting to make plans for summer so here is the information you will need to start planning for the Soiree or AAU's. Good luck to all our teams!
13-Kat is Viper's best finishing Team at the recent Junior National Qualyfing Tournament in Anaheim, California. The team finished tied for 5th overall and lost to get into the top four to Laguna Beach 13-1s (who eventually finished 2nd). The team was undefeated throughout the tournament until their loss against Laguna. All of the young players on this team showed tremendous growth and strength. We are so proud of you!
Congratulations to 14 Joe for winning their last Local Tournament in the Spike-Fest! They won all three matches and went 3-0 on the day! Coach Joe is notorious for making his kids run and get in good shape - looks like it's paying off. Keep it up girls!
Congratulaions to 15-Allissa for winning 2 tournaments in a row!!! This team has really shined in March with two different coaches! When Coach Allissa went on a leave of absence to have her baby, Temecula Valley HS Varsity Coach Kelly took over the team and won a tournament. Upon Allissa's return, the team won their next tournament, making it two in a row!
Congratulations to all the girls for their hardwork, fortitude and adjustability! Keep it up!
Congratulations to the girls on their fantastic showing, resulting in their first tournament win on April 7, 2012! The girls won all three of their matches, and were victorious in 6 out of 7 games. You made everyone proud! Keep it up!
15-Allissa is the team with the most Tournament Wins so far this season!!! These girls are on a role and just keep getting better! Since this was the last mandatory for 15s they don't move up, but they would have moved up to the Silver Division! Next up for this team is Regionals the first weekend in June - keep up the progress girls!
Congratulations to our terrific 12-Elite team that is continually improving and reaching for the top level in SCVA. They have been going back and forth from Division 1 to Division 2 and this last weekend they WON Division 2. They went 5-0 on the day and took home the title. Keep it up girls and show Division 1 what you can do!
15-Bonnee has become one of the top 15 local teams in the Spike-Fest league this season! They finished 2nd at their first tournament, 1st place at their 2nd tournament and just won their third tournament Sunday, April 1st going 3-0. Great job girls!
