2011 Commitment Summarys

Here is more individual player information on our alumni. Enjoy!

Congratulations Juju Tuiolosega

JuJu Tuiolosega has committed to Central Arizona College. Juju is tremendously athletic and has one of the biggest verticals in Viper. She is known for her big BLOCKS and her big swings and will bring a lot of strength to the new program at Central Arizona. Juju has a sister in the club, Justus, who plays on our 15-Elite team.

Congratulations to Juju and her family!

Taylor Lund, a senior from Temecula Valley High School and a first year player for Viper, committed to Azusa Pacific this past month. Her family has alumni from Azusa and this was truly Taylor's dream school. Taylor has only been playing for two years and shows tremendous athleticism and potential as a volleyball player. Former Viper coach, Chris Kiefe, is excited to have a player like Taylor on his squad.

Congratulations Taylor Lund!

Why did you pick Azusa? I chose Azusa because I love the campus and the environment, and the team was very welcoming!

Did you visit the campus? If yes, what did u like about the school and volleyball program? Yes I did. I like that everyone at the school is very friendly and nice, and that the campus is close to home. The volleyball program has an excellent history that I am looking forward to being a part of, and I also was very impressed with the girls and Coach Keife.

What are u most excited about for college? I am most excited about meeting new friends and playing for a new school. I love playing for a school, it gets you connected right away and I am excited for that!

What can u share w young vipers about the recruiting process? I would say to start getting your name out there early. If you have schools that you are interested in, don't wait for them to come to you, you make the first move and email them!

Elizabeth "Liz" Culhane committed in April to Yavapai Junior College in Prescott Arizona. Liz has been a strong developing player in Viper's program for many years and has improved so much in every position. Liz has played for our Elite teams and currently plays middle on the 18-1s.

Congratulations to Liz and her parents on a great school!

Congratulations to Liz Culhane!

Learn from Liz and her recruiting experience and decision here!

I chose Yavapai because of the location - it's not far from home. Also, they have a great nursing program which is my major. I had a great time when I went on a visit to the YC campus. I like the coaching staff and the girls on the team.

Yavapai is a DIV 1 Junior College and in a very competitive conference. I was offered a FULL SCHOLARSHIP which covered everything from tuition, fees, books, housing and food. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to go to YC and be a part of their Volleyball Program.

I like the campus, small and easy of getting around. They have a tremendous community support, academic support services, full time sports medical staff, a learning center on campus offers free tutoring in every subject. Great nursing and science facility. Their housing has a full kitchen for the girls to share. Our goal this year is winning the Conference Championship and advanced to the National Tournament. Go Roughriders!

The recruiting process was overwhelming and difficult, time consuming and I had to do a lot of research. Including sending out a lot of emails and asking questions. Getting a scholarship was one thing, but playing for the right coach and their volleyball program is another you have to consider. I asked a lot of questions during my recruitment process. You have to make sure what does scholarship that is offered to you cover and not cover.

I have played for Viper for four years now. Starting with the 14-Elite Steve Jones, 15-Elite Steve Jones, 17-Elite Rachel Williams, and 18-Elite Brian Way.

Be yourself! Great athletes understand you must fail before you succeed. To be successful you must fight, it is a long hard journey that everyone must go through, but the destination will be sweet. Also, practice, practice, practice you can only get better.

Amanda Trimble will be attending the University of Albany in New York. Amanda has played for Viper for 10 years, and has been on numerous Elite teams. She was a libero/DS for our 18-1s in both 2010 and 2011. She is excited to continue her volleyball career... read more about why here!

Congrats Amanda "Peanut" Trimble

Why did you pick Albany? I picked Albany because it was the best fit for me academically and athletics wise. It is also a gorgeous campus where I can really see myself being happy. Thank to Coach Sparks of Quinnipiac for helping me find this school!

What are you most excited about for college? I am most excited for the volleyball because it is extremely competitive and I know that it will be a fun challenge for me. I am also excited to meet a lot of new people and finally be out on my own.

What coach had the biggest impact on you so far, and why? The coach that had the biggest impact on me is probably Aaron Capp because, not only is he a great coach, he made sure I always remembered that volleyball is about having fun and competing, and that there are more things to life then just playing sports.

Will you every get to play your sister? I will not get to play my sister because we are in two different conferences. I wish though!

Anything else... I would like to thank all my coaches and assistant coaches I have ever had at Viper, Chaparral High School, and of course Ed. If it wasn't for all of you I would not be getting this amazing opportunity. I also want to thank my family, the Amatulli's, the Kushner's, and many other families for always being there for me along the way.

Rocky and her family have been a part of Viper for over 10 years. Rocky has been one of the top liberos in the club since she was young. She has been the top libero in the club, playing for our 18-1s, for four straight years.

Congratulations to Rocky and her family!

Congratulations to Rocky Oritz!

Learn more about Rocky and her experience in this Q&A:

I chose mssu because I fell in love with the team instantly and the campus was perfect! Not too big but not too little. The team is like a big family and I'm going to need that being so far away from mine. The atmosphere there is so different and I'm always up for a different setting.

The recruiting process was pretty dificult because I did alot of by myself. I had to look up all the schools that were interested in me and look up how good their kinesiology (my major) program was. But in the end it was very worth it because I found my perfect fit for me.

What i liked on my visit was how small the school was. I don't want to go to a big University. I wanted to be able to ask the teachers for help during a lecture. I also loved the atmosphere of the gym, it was small but everyone goes and everyone gets into it.

It was good for me to keep my head up even if the school i really wanted to go to turned me down, i kept pushing forward. It also helped having my parents there by my side pushing me telling me to not give up and how proud they were of me and seeing my accomplishments.

On March 14th, Ashlee Amatulli committed to Rider Univeristy. Rider is a Division 1 University located near Trenton, New Jersey. After getting to the know the coaches, the academic programs at the school, and realizing that it could be a great place for her to continue her volleyball career and get the degree she wants, she officially committed.

Congratulations to Ashlee Amatulli from 18-Elite!!!

Congratulations to Ashlee and her family! They have been with Viper for 9 years and it is awesome to see a player who has put in so much work and effort get this opportunity.

Read more about Ashlee's decision to go to Rider in this Q & A with her:

Why did you choose Rider? I loved the campus and the girls were amazing. I felt like the campus was small enough to feel like a family but large enough to feel like a University. They just hired a new coach who I got along with great and who is looking forward to building a great program there. I am excited to be apart of the program and University!

What was the recruiting process like?

I believe the recruiting process was challenging and time consuming. Researching the volleyball program and the education program was very meticulous. Although very drawn out, it WAS a lot of fun and important because you want it to be a good fit overall.

What was instrumental in helping you achieve your goal of getting a full ride D1 scholarship? I believe staying on top of your grades is a must and dedicating yourself to the sport. With dedication comes sacrifice and you will sacrifice many things (beach trips, parties, dances, etc) to achieve your goals... but it's all worth it!

On March 13th, Lexi Hein committed to the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Lexi has received a full-ride scholarship and will be representing the UALR Trojans at the Division 1 level in the Sun Belt Conference!

Congratulations to Lexi Hein from 18-Elite!!

Lexi was highly recruited by a number of differnet schools, but after visiting the campus a few weeks ago and working with the coaches, Lexi felt like UALR was the place for her to begin the next phase in her life. We couldn't be more excited for her!

Read the Q & A below where Lexi describes what this process was like for her.

Why did I choose Arkansas? I loved the team and coaches, they were like one big family. Also, I loved the whole atmosphere. It's a great opportunity to play volleyball at such a high level.

Was the recruiting process hard? fun? Well the recruiting process was pretty difficult just because I put in a lot of work myself, looking up schools, sending out a bunch of emails and videos. But it was fun in the end when I got to go on all my visits and had a lot of interest. The more time and effort you put into the recruiting proccess the more you'll get out of it.

What did I like about Arkansas when I went on a visit? All the girls made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Also, I fell in love with the gym, it's amazing.

What was instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of getting a full ride to a d1 school? It was important to stay positive and keep pushing myself to reach that high level of play. Things didn't always go in my favor, but I just had to keep perservering through all the tough times. During tough times it helped to remember how much I loved playing and how I am just glad to be given the opportunity to play.

Congratulations to Kym for committing to play for Cal State Los Angeles in February of 2011. Kym has played for Viper for 6 years and has been a strong and dynamic player her whole career. It has been a lot of fun to watch Kym grow and mature as a player and person and we coudln't be more happy for her!

Congratulations to Kim Silveyra from 18-Elite!!

Get to know Kym and her process with this Q&A:

Why did I choose CSULA? Location & History. I am very excited to be close to home and have my family and friends come to my games. My dad has been by my side all my volleyball years as a coach or assistant, and I'm glad he'll be a part of my college years too. Secondly, I am also excited to be part of a team with an impressive winning history. Coach Randi had a lot of excitement and faith in me to come in as a Freshman and be an impact player, so I am looking forward to making her proud of her decision to have me.

Was the recruiting process hard? I was actually very fortunate not to have a lot of stress during the recruiting process. The timing was perfect. Coach Randi was at our first tournament of the year in January and made it clear that she wanted me on her team. That was on a Sunday and I was on an official visit that Friday. My stress was different than the other girls. I had to ask myself, "Did I make the right decision?" "Should I have waited until the Senior Showcase? JNQ?" When it came down to it, all I knew is that I wanted to continue playing volleyball and to go to college. That made my decision to commit to CSULA easy to make and stand by with 100% confidence. It was everything I could ask for: a full-ride offer in Southern CA with a winning team, and it's already like family. Coach Randi has been to 6 of my 7 tournaments so far.

What did I like about CSULA when I went on a visit? Again, Location. It took about an hour and a half with traffic. I liked that the campus was easy to get around and the proximity of the dorms to campus. The coaches are great and set me up with two of the Samoan girls on the team as my chaperones. The team made me feel welcome. We had a fun practice, night and breakfast together. It was a really good fit.

What was instrumental in helping me achieve my goals?
My parents. They provided me the opportunity to play competitively and I was able to excel at it, and I gave 110% at practice and on the court each and every time. I live and breathe this sport and I gave it my all.

2010 Commitment Summarys

Allysa Medina committed to Hampton University in the Fall of 2010. Her future college coach, Pete, saw her perform at Junior Nationals and knew she was the right player for their program. After many phone coversations and an eventual visit, Allysa decided that Hampton was the perfect school for her.

Congratulations to Allysa and her family!

Congratulations Allysa Medina!

How does it feel to be committed to play for a division 1 college as a junior? I am very excited about playing volleyball for Hampton University. It has always been my goal to have the opportunity to play college volleyball at any level, I still cant believe that I will be playing Div. 1 Volleyball. I am even more excited about committing as a Junior and how fortunate I am to have been chosen so early amongst many girls that wanted to be apart of the Hampton volleyball program.

What was the recruiting process like? The recruiting process for me was somewhat easy. The Head Coach from Hampton University saw me play in Reno Nevada at Junior Nationals and spoke with Coach Dana on the last day of competition, about the possibility of me playing for his program. I then went on line to find out as much information as I could about the volleyball program. I really liked what I saw on the Hampton website and from there I began emailing the Head Coach once a week. I received letters of interest from many different Colleges and Universities throughout the country, but I really liked Hampton University early on and it really felt like a good fit for me.

What made you interested in Hampton? Hampton University is a mid size school. I think smaller classes makes learning a lot easier. Hampton also offers a wide range of classes and majors. Its one of the most beautiful Universities that I've ever seen. I could really see myself going to school and playing volleyball there.

What were some important factors in your decision to commit? It's a great feeling to have a coach that truly believes in you. I enjoyed my visit to the campus and the players were so nice and they also enjoyed playing for Hampton University and Coach Pete. The students seemed to take a lot of pride in there school and I wanted to be apart of that experience. It felt like home.

What can you share about the process to help other players in our club? I think it's important to think outside the box and to keep all your options open and not be consumed with playing for only Pac 10 schools. There are many schools that although or not Pac 10 offer competitive volleyball and most important, the opportunity to receive a quality education. Follow your heart, I had been told that I was too short to be a hitter. That just made me work harder. Follow your passion and don't let anyone stand in the way of your dreams. I've learned a lot over the years and I am still learning and developing as a player.

Dana Backlund commits to the University of Florida

Dana in her Gator gear at age 2!

Congratulations to Dana for receiving a full-ride scholarship to the University of Florida. Dana and her family have been Gator fans for a long time (Dad, Andy, was also a Gator) and this is a great fit for her as a collegiate student athlete. Dana was very highly recruited since she was a freshman and commited July 24th, 2010 (before her Junior year).

Dana is most excited to play at a high level in college and to continue growing as an athlete, volleyball player and person. The University of Florida has made it to the Top 16 the last three years and to the Elite 8 and Final Four numerous times.

Dana started with Viper in a clinic class at age 9. She showed a great competitive spirit even at that young age. By the time she was eleven she had become Ed Morel's unofficial "pepper partner" and would play until his arm fell off. Her passion for the game continues today with her give everything attitude at practice.

Dana played on our 12-1's and then played on our 14-2's for Merilee as a 13 year old, a team which ended up finishing 6th at the Volleyball Festival. Dana has been the starting setter for Viper's 16-1s for three years, and this year led the team to Junior Nationals. All of us at Viper say "Congratulations!"

Up next: Dana will set for the Varsity at Murrieta Valley High School this coming season.

Dana and the Backlund family at Gator Stadium... it's a family affair!

Dana with coach Tommy

Congratulations to Rachel Quam who has committed to Cal State San Marcos. Rachel will be on the inaugural San Marcos team as they start a NEW volleyball program in 2011. Rachel tore her ACL in the spring of 2010 and joining San Marcos will give her the year to rehab and prepare for her first collegiate season.

She is excited to get started with school this fall and is already working with Coach Sarah Gustin to get on track for next season. Rachel is a very dynamic OH who can do everything on the court. She has played for Viper her whole club career and it has been wonderful to see her grow and mature as both a player and person. Congrats Rachel!

Rachel Quam commits to Cal State San Marcos

In Rachel's words...

San Marcos is going to be a really great fit for me.  It is close to the beach and has a completely different feel than the Inland Empire.  It is also close enough to where I can come home on the weekend and be there in about an hour.  There is also the possibility of playing volleyball in my sophomore year.  I am so excited to be a part of the beginning program at CSUSM.

2.  Rehab is a long and tedious process.  My knee is progressing slowly and to top it off I have absolutely no endurance left.  I have to rehab my knee and build up my body at the same time.  It is frustrating when you can't ride the bike for ten minutes with resistance without "dying."  However, I keep making progress and I can tell my knee is getting stronger all the time.  I am also learning how my body works and how to take care of it.

3.  College is going to be very different from high school.  I will be living on campus and my roommates are all so nice.  I can't wait to be on my own away from all of the drama of high school.  I can't wait to meet new people and experience new things.  Oh, and volleyball is going to be super exciting what with the new program and playing at a high level.  I am very excited.

4.  Volleyball in college is going to be really hard, especially in the conference that we will be entering into.  The competition is going to be fierce.  Playing at the level in college will be similar to playing at Viper because throughout my club years I have played at really high levels.  I have also been taught the skills I need to be competitive, and I have learned what it means to be a good teammate.

Elaine Hicks - Commits to Cal State Dominguez Hills!

Elaine "Lainey" Hicks commited to California State Dominguez Hills on Thursday, February 11th, 2010. Lainey has been one of the best players in our club for the past 5 years. She really began to dominate last year as an outside hitter on the 18-1's. She continued that success into her final high school season at Elsinore, where she led the volleyball team to its first ever CIF Championship.

This season Lainey is the number one outside hitter on Temecula 18-Brianna. She is known throughout Southern California by both club and college coaches as a very quick hitter that can score against any team. Laine is definitely the kind of player you notice out on the court because she is very agressive and can take control of a match. Her and setter Mariah Agre have truly learned to work together and perfect their timing - it is fun to watch!

Lainey will join the Toros this fall and will be an impact player as a freshman. Another coach in the conference said she is an "All Conference Player" so it looks like Lainey is set to have a great college experience! Congrats Elaine!

From Dominguez Hills Press Release:

Looking to become competitive in the always-tough California Collegiate Athletic Association, Cal State Dominguez Hills women's volleyball head coach Scott Davenport has announced the addition of Elaine Hicks of Wildomar.

With a family whose background runs deep in volleyball, including three aunts who played NCAA Division I ball, Hicks is also no stranger to the sport with five years of club experience with Temecula-Viper under her belt while also helping lead Elsinore High School to its first-ever CIF Championship title.

Recruited by dozens of top D-I schools including San Jose State, UC Riverside, Boise State and Portland State, Davenport sought out Hicks as she is "a very talented and accomplished volleyball player who has a very high volleyball IQ and fierce competitive nature."

Ultimately the decision for Hicks to pick the Carson campus came down to "liking the coaches, the other players and staying in Southern California."

While at CSUDH, Hicks will major in Psychology and hopes to one day become a therapist with the goal of helping people.  Hicks was a standout for Elsinore HS as a junior and senior, being named an All-Sun Belt League Selection both years and to the All-CIF team both years as well.

Victoria Asuega Signs with Arkansas Pine Bluff

Congratulations to Victoria Filiorosa Asuega from our 18-Elite team! She commited and signed to the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, which is a Division 1 program on the rise. They are looking forward to bringing in Victoria and having her make an immediate impact.

Victoria is an outside hitter who joined Viper for her senior season from Apple Valley and has made tremendous progress. She is looking forward to a great college experience away from home and with a great group of coaches and teammates.  Her new coaches have said, "Victoria is an outside hitter with explosive leaping ability and a lot of potential."

Victoria was the leading outside hitter for Desert Sky League and was named to the All-League 1st Team as well as Best Offensive Player of the Year for Desert Sky League in 2009. She was also named Best Offensive Player for 2008-09, All League 1st Team, Player of the Year and led her team to the Semi-Finals in 2008-09. She is the daughter of Lagima and Palupe Losefa.

Coach Brianna congratulates Victoria, "I am so proud of Victoria. I know her hard work and determination to be a great player will lead her to success at Pine Bluff."

Marissa Ellow commits to Point Loma Nazarene

Congratulations to Marissa Ellow who commited to Point Loma Nazarene. This is her first season with Viper and she is a starting middle blocker for the 18-Elite team! Marissa has improved tremendously this season and has brought a lot of energy and passion for the game to her team.

Marissa is the kind of player you want to have on your team because she is always pushing herself to get better and be coachable. Rochelle Short, one of Viper's coaches, is looking forward to having Marissa on her squad next year.

"Point Loma is excited to have the opporutity to work with Marissa as an incoming 2010 freshman. She will be adding some experience and depth in the Middle Blocker position that we have been missing."

Coach Brianna is excited to see Marissa play at the next level too. "Marissa had a tough decision to make and I'm happy that she chose a school that will challenge her and allow her to grow as a volleyball player."

Congratulations Haleigh from your extended (Viper) family.

Mariah Agre - The University of New Mexico

In Mariah's words:
1. What do you like about UNM?
I like everything. The coaching staff, the team, the athletic support system, the academic advisors, and the professors I met all contributed to my decision to choose UNM. They all made me feel so welcome.

2. What are you most excited about? Being a part of a great program that is really talented and on the rise. Coach Nelson is a great teacher and mentor, and the personality of the girls was a good fit for me. They are a family and I want to be a part of that family too.

From Coach Dana
- "Mariah has only been setting a little while at the competitive SoCal level and has improved tremendously over the last 5 months. As a result, she has reached her goal of getting a full-ride scholarship to a great volleyball school, The University of New Mexico. Mariah is a very competitive player and really takes charge of the team in matches. Her intensity and drive to win and be the best will make her a very competitive player at the collegiate level. I know the Lobo coaching staff is really excited to have a player with Mariah's talent, personality, and connection to the team and University. Good luck Mariah!"

Sarah Davis - University of Texas Pan-American

In Sarah's words...

1. What's your favorite thing about UTPA? The campus environment is really great. UTPA provides lots of new opportunities and I'm impressed with the volleyball program, coaches and the girls are all amazing.

2. How was your official visit? My visit to UTPA showed me a lot about the school that I wouldn't have been able to find out through research. I'm really happy with all the resources they provide and I can't wait to do more exploring and learn more!

Head Coach Hubbard at Texas Pan Am said, "We are very excited about Sarah. She has the size and athleticism to make an immediate impact on our program. Sarah is a great person and we are looking forward to having her join teh Bronc family."

From Coach Dana
- "Sarah is a terrific player and one of the hardest workers I have ever coached. She comes to practice every day and gives 110%. I know this is why she has reached her goals and accepted a full-ride scholarship to a great school in Texas. Sarah is just beginning to see her potential and with really great coaches at Texas Pan Am she is going to really flourish. Good luck Sarah!"

Ayana Whitaker - California State Fullerton

In  Ayana's words...

1. Why did you choose Fullerton? I chose Fullerton because it was the best school that met both mine and my families needs. It's in the area I most wanted to live and its also close enough to home where I can visit if I want, yet far enough that I can still feel like I've actually gotten some freedom. On top of that, the team and coaches are amazing and friendly people that I can definitely see mysef spending 4 years with. The school itself is great and I love everything about it.

2. What are you most excited about? Fullerton has a great Christian campus ministry that is close with my families church in Temecula. Also, the girls on the team are very nice and make me excited to be a Titan!

From Coach Dana - "Ayana is just beginning to see her potential as a volleyball player. She has come a long way this year toward reaching her goal of getting a full-ride scholarship to a D1 school. We are really proud of her increased commitment and dedication that has paid off. The coaches at Cal State Fullerton recognize her athleticism and height and see that she can be a big player for their program. Good luck Ayana!"

Tanya Ugaitafa - Arizona Western

In Tanya's words: I am really excited to play at Arizona Western. The coaches are great, it's not too far from home and they provide great academic support to help me have a good college experience.

The Head Coach at Arizona Western said, "We are really excited to get a player of Tanya's caliber. She is a versatile athlete who will fit in well with our system of play. we expect that she will be an integral part of our offense next season."

From Coach Dana: Tanya is a great kid with a big personality. She is fun to be around and her enthusiasm for volleyball and life is contagious. On the court, Tanya has more than just great dance moves, she is a powerful attacker and a very quick defender in the back court. One of my favorite things about Tanya is her consistency and winning attitude. No matter what the circumstances, she goes hard, competes and does her best.

Lexi Campbell - Dartmouth

In Lexi's own words: I chose Dartmouth primarily for its academics; my main goal was to find a school that would continue to challenge me throughout college.  Also Dartmouth gave me the chance to continue to play volleyball in a very competitive environment, which I couldn't be more excited about.

I love volleyball becuase of its quickness and how players are in constant motion.  The sport forces you to become so focused that you lose yourself in the game, and are only able to think about the next point and the team.  I also love the pace of the game, it has helped me grow into an adult in that I have to control my emotions in each play.  Volleyball has been a part of my life since I was thirteen, and I really can't imagine my life without it.

Thoughts from Dana: Lexi is a terrific person and a courageous player. She really understands what it takes to be a great competitor and really brings her focus and work ethic to every practice. Not only does she work hard physically, but mentally she challenges herself to be a great leader, improve her communication and be confident when the game is on the line.

Erin Roberts - Palomar Junior College

From Coach Angie - "As a co-captain, Erin brought a lot of talent and life to our team this season. She was aggressive at the net and could hit deep corners, making her a key player in both the middle and opposite.  Unfortunately, she tore her ACL in the middle of the season and had to take a break. However, she did not let it get her down."

"
Erin still showed up to every practice with a smile on her face and enthusiasm for her teammates. She was a delight to have around, always cheering and keeping everyone pumped up. Thank you, Erin for sticking with the team and being a great leader. Good luck with your surgery... heal quick! Best of luck at Palomar!"

From coach Dana -  "
Erin is a long-time Viper member and one of our most enthusiastic players. She brings her fun attitude to everything she does, even when she's injured. Though Erin has been hurt for half of the season she has continued to come to practices and support her team and help coach. Thanks Erin for all your support. We wish you the best at Palomar!"

Caroline Chick - UCLA

From Coach Angie - "Caroline, aka, "Chick," played a very key role on our 18s team this year. She was our starting libero and a primary passer for us. Caroline's high energy, communication, and quickness on the court was crucial for our defense. She never let the ball hit the floor and was always positive to everyone around her. It is no question why I had quite a few colleges asking me about her. However, there comes a time when you are ready to move into new chapters in your life.Good luck with academics at UCLA, Caroline! I know you will do great and continue to soar!"

From Caroline
- I picked UCLA because for one, it's UCLA, and because it's really a great school. They have every fun thing and scholarly thing imaginable, and I'm excited to go to a huge school--it'll be new for me. I'm going to start out studying sociology. I'm really excited to decorate my dorm room! I'm not playing on UCLA's volleyball team, but as soon as I see a sign-up sheet for intramural volleyball, I'll be writing my name down so fast it'll be scary.

From coach Dana -
"This was Caroline's first year with us and she really did a terrific job of leading her team as libero this season. Though she had opportunities to play in college, she decided to put her academic pursuits at the top of the list and is heading to UCLA. She is going to wow the teachers there with her work ethic and beautiful voice. Good luck Chick!"

Natalie Cadmus - Riverside Community College

From Coach Angie - "It is no question why her nickname is "Sparky."  Natalie brings high energy and spark to the floor every time she steps on the court.  Her fire and enthusiasm is contagious to everyone around her."

"Natalie is a very smart player and I know she will be a key addition at
RiversideCommunity College! Go Natalie! We will miss you at Viper! Keep smashing those slides and 3s!"

From coach Dana -  "Natalie is a great competitor and always wants to make the play when the game is on the line. She has brought 100% to every practice since she started with Viper years ago. We know she will succeed at
RiversideCommunity College and be an impact player and person. Good luck Natalie!"

Jaclyn Fields - Palomar Junior College

Jaclyn has played many years with Temecula Volleyball Club. She improved so much this season and showed her incredible commitment and teamwork this year. Jaclyn is a small but talented player and though she had scholarship opportunities out of state, she decided to stay close to home and go to Palomar. She will be a big asset to their program and bring not only great volleyball skills but a great attitude and committment. Jaclyn played 4 years for Murrieta Valley H.S. and was First Team All-League her senior year. Congrats Jaclyn!
From Jaclyn Fields
I decided on
PalomarCommunity College because it is a good school and will help me get done with my general education so I can transfer to a four year.
I am most excited about meeting a whole bunch of new people and trying out for the volleyball team

From coach Dana -  "Jaclyn has grown so much this year and has really shown a tremendous commitment to herself and teammates. Though she had opportunities to continue playing outside
California, she decided that close to home is where her heart is and I respect Jaclyn for making the right decisions for herself. Her commitment and love of the game will add a lot to the team at Palomar Jr.College. Good luck Jaclyn!"
