Congratulations to our 17s team that finished 2nd at the MLK Speakeasy Invitational January 14 & 15. Along the way to the finals, they beat every team in 2: SCVC, Sports Shack, Spiral, Saddleback Valley, Sunshine and Wave. The team played some really incredible volleyball and beat many of these teams by significant margins. The final against Coast was a battle from the beginning. Temecula took game 1 and were tied at 19-19 in game two before losing 26-24. Coast went on to win the thrid game but it was a tremendous tournament with a lot of great play and wins. Congratulations!
Congratulations Alyse Whitaker & Morgan Nunley
Alyse Whitaker was named Tournament MVP in the 17s MLK Speakeasy for leading her 17s team to a 2nd place finish. Alyse is a starting middle blocker for the team that also plays backrow. She is one of the most dynamic attackers in Southern California and really stood out as one of the top players at the tournament. Alyse was also recently named one of the PrepVolleyball Top 50 juniors in the country. Congratulations Alyse!
Morgan Nunely was named to the All-Tournament team in the 17s MLK Speakeasy for her tremendous play and running a very effecient offense. Morgan has set for Viper for 6 years and this is a well-deserved honor after many years of hard work.
