Welcome to Viper's Beach Volleyball Page!

Every summer many of our players gear up for the beach season and compete in tournaments every weekend. Here are some 2011 Highlights!

If you want to play in a tournament this summer, go to CBVA to learn more about 18 and under tournaments all over southern california.

Any interesting beach training, info, stories or tournaments will be posted here!

12s Take the Beach!

Jordyn Amoy and Haley Cox have been to multiple beach tournaments this year and also attended the Westwind Sand Camp - they are a force on the beach! 


12 Elite players win GOLD & SILVER!

There was an All Viper 12s Final at the CBVA 12U Beach Tourney in May! Madison Nunley and Brynn Sherbert- 1st place. Kyra Eyerman and Cairon Fido-2nd place. Both teams were first in separate pools, and met up in the 3rd and final round of play-offs. Way to go girls!

14 Elite players win GOLD!

Kat and Madelaine from 14-Elite played at Ocean Beach on June 12. It was their 3rd beach tourney together. They won first in a pool of 6 teams then played 3 play off games (won them all) and then went on to win the championship game for 1st place in 14s. They took the title from girls who had won the last 3 in a row!!!!!


Viper Coaches Win GOLD!

Coaches Dana Burkholder and Jamie Dekiewit won the CBVA Womens A tournament held in Ocean Beach. They were undefeated in pool play and playoffs! The following weekend they competed in the CBVA Open Division and finished tied for 5th. They lost in the first round of playoffs. More to come...


AVP News

There are a lot of changes right now for beach volleyball - the biggest one being that the AVP stopped play. Due to loss in sponsors and profits, they had to stop the league mid-season. There are still other leagues going, but the AVP was certainly the biggest promoter of beach volleyball.
