About
Lynda Morales was born in Glendale California and attended Fallbrook High School. She is a multi sport athlete playing; volleyball, basketball and high jump at Fallbrook. She played club and high school as a Middle Blocker and earned a full ride scholarship to Cal State Northridge majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences – Consumer Affairs. Even though she was born in the USA, she has double citizenship having opted for Puerto Rican sports citizenship. With Cal State Northridge Lynda was part of the 2008 Sacramento State All-tournament team.
In 2011 Lynda was drafted into the Puerto Rican professional volleyball league and over the next 5 years played in Brazil, Italy, Istanbul, Philippines and then returned to Puerto Rico to finish out her indoor playing career. All the while she was competing with the Puerto Rican National team winning 2 Bronze Norceca Championships, Silver Pan-American Cup and a Silver in the Central American Games.
In 2015 she was awarded Volleyball Player of the year by the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee. In 2016 the Puerto Rican National team was granted birth to the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Lynda retired from indoor volleyball after the Olympics to move back closer to family. She is now coaching at Temecula Valley High School and for Viper volleyball while she pursues her next athletic conquest of beach volleyball. She will be playing on the AVP tours for many years to come.
